First Degree Fitness Fluid Rower v WaterRower

In the interest of helping you pick the best rower, we’ve compared the First Degree Fitness Fluid Rowes v WaterRower. First Degree Fitness rowing machines offer a patented Adjustable Resistance mechanism.  This allows the user to “raise the bar” as their fitness levels improve and prevent getting to a point whereby they “plateau” and have to endure the same workout day in/out. Therefore, First Degree Fitness rowers represent “today’s technology” from a pure function standpoint and offer so much more to the owner/user.

First Degree Fitness Fluid Rower v WaterRowerThe flagship First Degree Fitness rower, E-520, is a FULL-ON commercial rower (we also sell many into home-use applications).  Many of the components and parts employed on our full commercial rowers are also used on our models designed for home use thereby ensuring a reliable and safe, comfortable workout.  We do NOT take a commonly used framework that is designed for home use, beef it up and slap on a commercial warranty.

All First Degree rowing machines are robust and well designed.  We do NOT need to provide an ALLEN KEY with each rower to use to re-tighten the bolts holding the planks of wood together.  First Degree does also offer rowing machines in the American Ash frame.  Our new Viking AR 3  is a formed wood and is not covered in bolts to re-tighten….ever.

First Degree rowers offer a true “on the water” feel.  You get resistance the INSTANT you start pulling back as if your oars are dipping into the water.  THERE IS NO 12”-14” lag until the resistance kicks in.  The extra-long bungee cord gives an active recoil providing a rapid stroke rate.  Transition uses 2precision one-way bearings (German INA brand) for durability and silent action.  Others use a shorter bungee that results in slower re-coil (the end result being the 12’-14” lag until the resistance kicks in).  Others use a single non-precision bearing creating an in-precise alignment of internal components.

First Degree uses a triple blade stainless steel marine grade (316) impeller running on a hardened steel shaft. Twin tank design (this allows the patented Adjustable Resistance).  Others use a two-blade plastic impeller (rough) running on a non-hardened shaft.

First Degree offers an angled rowing grip handle. This prevents strain on the wrist/elbow/shoulder.  It is a wide grip to suit all populations.  Others use a straight bar thereby placing greater strain with narrower grip limits.

First Degree seat mold to fit user and are soft and very comfortable.  The seat offers a textured finish that prevents slip.  The seat travel itself is ultra-smooth as compared to others that are NOT as smooth.

First Degree Fitness manufactures an extremely well-designed product.  The First Degree product will provide end-users with a first-class, efficient and fun workout.  The holistic sight and sound technology is an immense factor.  We have long been known as a group that makes a product that represents today’s technology.  This is not your Grandad’s rower.  We are NOT a MARKETING ENTITY designed to make up for lack of product features, performance or reliability, as per others.  You are soon to witness a lot of new marketing activity to help educate consumers into understanding why First Degree represents the best choice from what is purely a user standpoint.

If you place a WaterRower on your floor or club next to a Fluid Rower, this will help explain the above-referenced comparisons of the First Degree Fitness Fluid Rower v WaterRower.
