What is a Swimming Pool Safety Ledge and do you need one? A swimming pool safety ledge is a flat area, approximately 8″ wide, that starts at the shallow end break and continues all the way around the deep end, until returning to the shallow end break on the other side.
The Swimming Pool Safety Ledge is measured separate from sidewalls (H & I) on your Replacement Liner Order Form. When installing a liner with a swimming pool safety ledge, extra care must be exercised – make sure the swimming pool safety ledge material is resting on the swimming pool safety ledge, and not on the deep end floor.
