About Cornelius Pools
Cornelius started in 1967, building steel wall and vinyl liner for in-ground pools. Cornelius entered the above-ground market in 1971, as the demand for more affordable backyard vinyl liner pools increased.

Through the years, we have grown from a regional manufacturer into a large international company with sales all across North America and around the world. During this growth, we have expanded our manufacturing equipment and facility to meet this demand.
In 2008 our manufacturing plant moved north of Montreal in Quebec, we have since extended our experience in a larger competence field. New ownership looks to the future by investing in tooling, machinery, and design. We are committed to continuously improve our products and better support our customers.

Cornelius Design
The visual aspect of a pool is the key element for consumers, who are searching for a style that will integrate seamlessly with their landscaping and home architecture. It is doubly important, as it attracts the consumers’ attention and drives their eventual purchase. In order to create attractive and elegant water basins, our designers are inspired by the latest fashions as well as current architectural and decorative trends.
The artistic development of our new products is a collaborative process involving two renowned industrial design firms. Alto Design Inc. is involved in the design of our pools, as well as our resin-injection pools, available since 2010. We also work closely with Primeau Designers Inc.
Our designers’ creativity is driven by our client’s tastes as well as by the durability and quality of the final product. Every design must also meet our strict safety guidelines. Special attention is paid to the selection of materials in order to minimize the environmental impact of our products. Finally, ease of installation is also an important criteria.

If you’re handy with a screwdriver, then you can easily assemble your own Cornelius above ground pool kit! We’ve designed each pool to make installation problem-free – no multi-sized washers or nuts to worry about. Just one large screw type is used to assemble the entire pool and we provide easy-to-follow instructions.
