How Does it Work?
Some systems use three separate techniques to sanitize water in targeted ways. However, advanced systems like Hayward’s HydraPure® Sanitization System combine all three techniques to maximize their benefits and significantly reduce chlorine consumption. The three individual components are UV systems, which use shortwave light to neutralize organic contaminants; ozone systems, which use ozone to destroy microorganisms; and advanced oxidation process (AOP) systems, which combine UV and ozone to produce hydroxyl radicals that sanitize faster and without harmful residuals.
What makes 3-in-1 sanitizers powerful is that they use complementary systems to maximize their sanitization potential without the need for chlorine or other metals. This means that instead of using a variety of chemical elements, the water only contains hydrogen and oxygen. The advanced process is capable of destroying 99.9% of chlorine-resistant microorganisms, and HydraPure® can reduce the amount of chlorine required by up to 60%, making it a safe and eco-friendly option for clean, healthy water. It’s important to note that HydraPure® must be used alongside an existing chlorination system, and it can destroy 99.9% of chlorine-resistant microorganisms up to 80 GPM.

The product also comes with a 3-year limited warranty and a 1-year limited warranty on UV and Ozone lamps when purchased from a Totally Hayward® Partner.
