When it comes to choosing the perfect turf for your backyard application, we recommend you think about three things. Usage, Utility, and Looks. Usage and Utility will correspond to the type of Pile Hight and Pile Face Weight you want in your turf. Turf usually comes in heights of 1/2 inch to 2 inches. 1/2 inch is usually your Gym/Putt Putt quality Turf which holds up to the continual compression and punishment applied to it day in and day out, while 2 inches is typically reserved for your full flush-looking yard turf. The Pile Face Weight corresponds to the amount of material that composes the turf, which is measured by the weight of the turf minus the backing material. So the more taller and heavier the turf is the more cushiony it feels, while the shorter and lighter it is the more flat and holds up better to consistent compression. The 80TS has a 80 Ounce Pile Weight and a 1.75 Inch Pile Height, which is great for areas that will have high foot traffic. Ordering Your Little Patch of Green Heaven

Now that you’ve decided the 80TS DIY Artificial Turf Line is the perfect look for your yard, you’ll have to determine how much you need for your project and if you want to go ahead and purchase. With our partnership with Artificial Turf Supply, we have nationwide distribution across the 48 contiguous states for all 6 models to have quick and efficient delivery. Much like unloading a big carpet, you’re going to need some extra hands unless you have a forklift with a rug pole attachment lying around. Each Roll will be 15 Feet long and weigh approx. 600lbs for the small roll of 750 SqFt., 900lbs for the medium roll of 1,125 SqFt., and 1,200lbs for the large roll of 1,500 SqFt. An 18 Wheeler will deliver the Turf, and due to the nature of the length and weight, you’ll need a couple of friends to help you pull the turf off the back of the truck and move it to the project site. If you choose to include the optional infill with your order, we will include a liftgate to help you move the pallet of infill from the trailer of the truck to the ground.

The infill offered by ATS is Envirofill a non-toxic, antimicrobial, eco-friendly, impact-absorbing, and completely reusable synthetic turf infill material made up of naturally occurring silica sand from the USA. The infill is the last part of the process of installing your lush and lavish turf. The infill material helps weigh the entire roll of turf down helping to prevent it from coming up from water, wind or any other disturbance to the turf that would try pulling it off the grown. This infill helps to lower the temperature of your turf while preventing mildew and bacteria from accumulating on your turf giving you a win-win situation when playing around on your amazing-looking and functional turf surface.
