The Glacier Water Powered Platform Lift is designed to allow safe and dignified pool entry and exit without compromising aesthetics. This lift is a true advancement over other systems on the market providing the same ease-of-entry as a ramp while only occupying a fraction of the space. This lift does not compromise pool aesthetics and takes up a fraction of the space that a ramp does. A platform lift does not need to take into account the pool gallonage, flow rates, and square footage, like builders need to for ramps. Therefore, with the Glacier lift, the operation of the pool can stay true to its original design. The water powered version costs more initially, compared to a battery powered version, but this version is the safest, most reliable, least expensive and most environmentally-friendly power source available.

Lift components are designed for durability in aquatic environments and are serviceable to ensure safety and consistent operation. Designed as a redundant system, safety and product life are maximized. Two stainless steel power screws are joined and driven by a high-performance carbon fiber belt that is designed to outlast all other known drive systems of this type. There is no need for adjustments throughout the life of the platform lift. A power screw drives the lift carriage through permanently sealed stainless steel food grade bearings and proprietary linear lead screw nuts. The power screw assembly does not require grease, as it uses pool water as the working lubricant. Riding on proprietary polymer plane bearings and 6 stainless steel rollers, the carriage distributes loads evenly and safely. The polymer plane bearings do not require lubrication beyond the pool water.

The lift consists of a platform with two 316L stainless steel handrails on each side. A clear polycarbonate panel fills the handrails. Made of heavy gauge 304L stainless steel, the platform surface is made with pultruded fiberglass T-bar grating with an extreme non-slip UV inhibited grit textured surface. A stainless steel-framed gate surrounded by a clear polycarbonate panel prevents entrapment beneath the lift platform. The Glacier’s structural components are precision joined using GMAW and GTAW processes, depending on the thickness and loading of the structure. Stainless steel components are electropolished and passivated in accordance with ASTM A967 guidelines, and the unit is coated with Spectra Shield to ensure maximum corrosion resistance. Most of the lifting column is skinned with 1/4″ gray pultruded fiberglass sheet with a polyester resin that is UV inhibited to ensure a long service life. Four non-marring pressure feet are located on the bottom of the lift structure, and there is an adjustable metal stop on the carriage, located within the lifting column.

The patent pending design features 4 drop-in anchors, handrails, and a clear gate door to prevent entrapment. Shipping almost completely assembled, the pool lift platform only requires adding on the control arm. The lift includes a 2-year limited warranty through the manufacturer.
