Extremely upset with my purchase. I build soaking tubs for a living and have purchased 30 waterway iron might pumps in the past. This was my first from poolwarehouse. When the pump arrived it was in a shipping box with the waterway box within that box. I noticed that one long side of the waterway box was opened so I lifted it out with the other side down. Turned out that side was opened as well and the pump fell out on my dinning room floor damaging my wood laminate. Definitely makes for an annoying experience. Also I found out a few days later that the pump was missing the rubber gasket that sits over the electrical connections. To make it more water resistant. By this point I needed to install the pump the next day for a client, so I was stuck with it.
I’ve not once had either of these issues happen and since both happened as once it makes me assume that I ordered a used or definitely “open box” item that was advertised as new.
When I reached out to poolwarehouse the first response was sympathetic and that’s all really I was looking for. Being heard so it doesn’t happen again. I never asked for any reimbursement or anything. I then received another email from jacinda (apparently she’s the head of customer service) and definitely felt the opposite to that first email. It was cold and calculated. She stated that she reached out to the manufacturer and they said that the internal box was closed and that’s that. Whatever. I’m annoyed and moving on. Not buying from a company then sells “open box” or “used” items as new. I have a business to run.
