The Hayward IDXLHXA1400 H400IDL Heater Heat Exchanger Assembly is a replacement product made with the Cupro-Nickel construction for a long life and fast heating. This heat exchanger replacement is made for the Hayward H-Series pool heater model H400FD. It’s a standard Cupro-Nickel heat exchanger that features a shell and tube design. Shell and tube heat exchangers warm your pool by running water through heated tubes.

This Hayward heat exchanger uses a “totally managed” water flow system and heats quickly by running water at the same velocity through all its tubes. Resistant to salt water and chemical corrosion, this heat exchanger is made to last. Easily connect this pool heater replacement part with its 2-inch by 2.5-inch CPVC union plumbing connections (can be adapted to larger plumbing too).
